Mind Decoded is a collective, working towards redefining ideas on Mental Health and enhancing Psychological Wellbeing in the changing times.

We aim to provide a lucid and innovative approach to mental health education, improve accessibility to Mental Health Services, and train students into individuals who are adept in both academic and therapeutic learning, thereby aiding them to evolve into active and responsible citizens in society.

We look forward to aiding the process of developing a resilient community that breaks barriers in Mental Health, provide opportunities in learning and exploration for the public as well as students of Psychology & Mental Health.

Meet our Team

Alen is a Psychiatric Social Worker, graduated from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal with an M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work. He has received the UGC-NET. Currently, he works with the 'Accelerator program for Discovery in Brain disorders using Stem cells' (ADBS) project at the National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences, Bangalore, involved in planning and providing psychosocial interventions for the participants in the project. He has been involved with youth groups in the lines of capacity building and learning life skills.

Alen is interested in working with both individuals and groups, with a special interest in working with young adults and couples & suicide prevention. He prefers to take an eclectic therapeutic approach allowing him to adapt the interventional techniques to the needs of the individual. He also likes to help students of Mental Health & Social work explore avenues of social action & active citizenship in their areas of interest. He believes in working for an inclusive environment that enables people from all sections, mainstreamed and sidelined to reach a wholesome life experience.



Varghese is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, graduated from Manipal Academy of Higher Education with an M.Phil in Clinical Psychology. Currently, he is a Ph.D. scholar working towards understanding the Neural correlates of Self-other distinction using EEG and Eye-tracking techniques. He has received the UGC-NET-JRF and has worked as a Senior Research Fellow for a DST project under the SHUT Clinic at the National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences.
He firmly believes in a client-centered perspective, wherein a collaborative environment, the techniques of psychotherapy are basically used to facilitate the individual to change from the current state to a  growth state.
He also likes to work with students of Psychology in helping them deal with issues they come up in research, mainly the practical aspects of research like effectively searching and understanding a research article, basics of literature review, and proceeding with a research proposal along with basic statistical analysis. In his service, he tries to make the process of research more clear and easier to the students.
